I have a pamphlet from the early 1930s produced by the New Historical Society. It contains prize essays from an international competition for the youth of the world. The winning essay for the Africa, Australia, Canada and New Zealand section is written by Wycliffe Mlusungisi Tsotsi ("aged 21 of South African Native College, Fort Hare, Alice, South Africa"). His submission is entitled: "How can youth develop cooperative and harmonious relations among the races of the earth?". Does anyone have any interest in this and can anyone help me fix a date for this pamphlet?

Dear Ezra, As the biographer of Max Yergan, who, based at Fort Hare in Alice spent a good deal of time at Healdtown, and as an acquaintance of W M Tsotsi, who studied there, I am very interested in knowing more about the institution, which I was able to visit in 2000. I would also like to know if you are related to Llewellyn or Edwin Ncwana, with whom Max Yergan worked at Fort Hare. Thank you very much.

Well done Ezra!!! I wish you success in your endeavours. Readind the history of Healdtown just makes me sick to my stomach to think of what lengths the colonialists would go to destroy us. It is the will and resolve of people like you Ezra who give us hope. Qhubela phambili ungadinwa Radebe. Nonceba Lubanga.

It is with great pleasure to see the Friends of Healdtown website up and running so quickly. Mr. Ezra Ncwana has been a visionary and a guiding hand in conceptualizing and implementing this. The website has been engineered to be easy to use with an intuitive interface. The guestbook will allow visitors to express their impressions of the website and share their thoughts and views about the great and famed Healdtown. This project represents a brave and innovative effort towards a reconstruction of a learning institution that produced great men and women many of whom became world leaders. Please enjoy yourself.
